Lo, I Am With You Always

I felt strongly impressed that I should create a picture of the Savior. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to paint Him in a way that would radiate His love through His eyes and countenance.

For ten years, I worked through various artistic mediums, trying to capture the light and love of Jesus Christ. With each attempt, I felt that I had not quite succeeded, but I never stopped trying. Then I learned a unique drawing technique that involved spraying graphite onto the surface and drawing with erasers rather than pencils. This method created remarkable depth and softness, and I immediately knew it was the approach I had been searching for.

As I began working on the drawing, I became completely absorbed in the process. I worked for 24 hours straight, and throughout that time I felt that the Savior's love was somehow finding its way onto the paper. When the drawing was finally finished, tears filled my eyes. For the first time, I felt that I had captured a glimpse of the love He has for each of us. I knew I had received help from above.

Since then, I have received countless letters from people around the world sharing how much this picture has meant to them and how it has helped them feel closer to the Savior. I am deeply humbled that nearly 100,000 prints of this image have found their way into homes and hearts across the globe.

I feel profoundly grateful to be an instrument in God's hands, helping others feel the love of Jesus Christ. My prayer is that as you look at this picture, you will feel His love for you personally.

I love my Savior with all my heart. I know that He lives, and I know that He loves each and every one of us—no matter who we are, where we have been, or what challenges we face- Traci
